The travel pass made our journey from Shinjuku to Karuizawa very convenient. We actually had to change trains several times along the way, but the pass was valid for all of them, which was very efficient and economical. A very fulfilling day trip! We met early in Shinjuku, making the trip convenient and easy. We then took a bus to Lake Yamanaka, Mt. Fuji, to ride a swan boat. The scenery of Lake Yamanaka was absolutely beautiful. The itinerary was well-planned, with just the right amount of time spent at each stop. I was very lucky to see Mt. Fuji with its "hat" (referring to its distinctive shape), as this was the first time I'd seen the complete Mt. Fuji from so many visits. We went up to the 5th station. Remember to bring a windproof jacket! The view of Mt. Fuji from the Oishi Park direction was stunning. We also had a delicious lavender ice cream. I highly recommend this trip. Our guide, Ms. Feng, provided detailed and clear explanations. I recommend this trip for families or independent travelers to include a day trip in your itinerary.

This trip was fantastic. The only downside was the bad weather, so we didn't get to see Mount Fuji. Our tour guide was wonderful and provided very detailed explanations. I'd love to go again if I have the chance to visit Japan in the future.
