KKDay is so convenient, and it's cheaper than buying it at information centers in Japan. The round-trip fare for the electric shuttle bus alone is over 600 yen, but they even include a round-trip fare for the Nekogami Ropeway, which really saves a lot of money.
The weather was great, the sun was blazing, and you could see Mount Fuji. Kamakura was cold, but the scenery was beautiful. The only downside was that the hot spring hotel was a bit old.
Located opposite the entrance to the Mt. Omuro Ropeway, the park is easily accessible by bus to and from the JR station. The park is well-planned and offers close-up opportunities to feed and interact with the animals, including many less common species. Two to three hours is a good amount of time.
The trip was made even better by having a Mandarin-speaking female tour guide who proactively helped take photos. We also enjoyed the plum blossoms and blooming cherry blossoms, and the view of Mount Fuji from the bus was even clearer – a truly memorable experience. If the itinerary could be adjusted to extend the cherry blossom viewing time, it would be even better.
A fifth-grade elementary school child participated. The staff kindly and carefully explained anything he didn't understand, so he was able to make it almost by himself!
