The luggage space under the tour bus is usable; we brought a suitcase. There's no tour guide for this trip; the entire tour is guided by audio commentary on the app. The driver was very nice and held up signs at each stop to inform passengers of the meeting times. After the Yanagawa cruise, the lunch break is quite tight, and considering the distance to the parking lot, you might need to consider whether to have a proper meal or go directly to Dazaifu for a proper meal. The cherry blossoms at Kamado Shrine were beautiful.
To catch the bus, go from Kokura Station towards Aruaru City and follow the ferry bus signs. You can see the stars at night if you go outside on the 7th floor. Your room key is provided via QR code, and the dormitory rooms simply open. There is a 100 yen fee for using a locker to store valuables (based on the cheapest one). The shower room is open 24 hours until you arrive at the port, and I remember that the hot spring has a limited time. The cat character is cute.
This trip to Kokura Castle was very fulfilling. In addition to learning about its history, I also saw many beautiful sights and had the opportunity to experience the local culture.
I'm glad I was able to purchase the room I wanted at a reasonable price. It can be a bit scary when the waves are strong, but traveling to another country by boat was an interesting and fun experience. The Japanese-style tatami room was convenient because only my family was using it. I could see the sea through the window, and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. ^^
