Product Info

Looking for an easy way to get to Shirakawa-go from Osaka or Nagoya without dealing with complicated transportation or long transfers? This one-day private tour to Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village is specially designed for travelers from Hong Kong and Taiwan who want a more comfortable way to visit the hidden gems of Japan's Hokuriku region. Located in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture, Shirakawa-go is famous for its fairytale-like Gassho-zukuri settlement, offering unique scenery in every season: fresh greenery in spring, pastoral landscapes in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and snowscapes in winter—each season is perfect for a photo spot and a leisurely stroll. This product now includes two route options: you can choose between 'Shirakawa-go + Takayama' or 'Shirakawa-go + Kanazawa' based on your preference. If you love traditional old streets, historic houses, and local snacks, we recommend the Takayama route, where you can wander through the Takayama Old Town, experience the well-preserved townscapes of the Hida region, and taste Hida beef skewers, miso dishes, or unique desserts. If you prefer castle town culture, teahouse districts, and refined streetscapes, choose the Kanazawa route to visit the Higashi Chaya District, Omicho Market, or iconic spots in Kanazawa city, and soak in the elegant atmosphere of the 'Little Kyoto of Hokuriku'.

Compared to taking public transportation, a private tour eliminates the stress of transfers, waiting for buses, and carrying luggage. It is especially suitable for families with children, seniors, small groups of friends, or travelers who want to complete a highlight tour of Shirakawa-go and surrounding cities within a limited time. With a dedicated vehicle, you won't be sharing the ride with strangers, and you can adjust the duration and order of stops based on the day's weather, road conditions, crowds, and your own energy levels, making the trip more flexible.

Recommended Route 1 is 'Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village + Takayama Old Town', suitable for travelers who enjoy strolling through historic streets, Hida culture, traditional townhouses, and local cuisine. Recommended Route 2 is 'Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village + Kanazawa City', suitable for those who enjoy teahouse districts, castle town vibes, market delicacies, and Hokuriku city scenery. Regardless of which route you choose, you can enjoy the classic scenery of the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri settlement in one day, paired with a popular Hokuriku city, turning your trip into more than just a single photo spot, but a complete experience of the beauty of Japan's mountain villages and traditional towns.
