Remember to check your mail before departure. Meet at the convenience store early in the morning; there are many tour guides there, and they all know each other, so you can easily find your guide by asking around.
This time, we met Ms. Miyamoto, who speaks fluent Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. She provided detailed explanations and was very friendly.
Although the group tour only allowed for a quick look, the time allotted was sufficient, and with the guide's sharing, we got a clear overview of the key points.
The Gassho-zukuri village is definitely worth hearing the stories on the bus before actually exploring it. It's not quiet, but it's very charming.
We encountered a vehicle malfunction along the way, but Ms. Miyamoto and the driver handled it well, quickly sending another car, so the trip wasn't significantly delayed. However, perhaps due to this or traffic restrictions in the city (October 6, 2026), we encountered traffic congestion on the return trip. If you have restaurant reservations planned, I suggest booking at a more flexible time to avoid rushing. (We booked for 7:30 PM, and with the buffer time, we arrived just in time.)
Tour leader Wang Jie was very responsible. His introductions were very detailed, and he spoke fluent English. He managed the time perfectly at each stop! Luckily, the weather was very pleasant today! I would definitely sign up for other tours next time!
1. The meeting point was easy to find, and we departed on time without delay.
2. Our tour leader, Ricky, was polite and provided brief introductions and recommendations for restaurants and shopping areas before each drop-off point.
3. These two locations are quite far from Nagoya city center, so we recommend this tour for those who want to visit them, as transportation won't be a burden.
4. It rained that day, but since we were traveling by bus, it wasn't a major inconvenience.
5. We suggest allocating 2.5-3 hours for free time in Takayama Old Town. We're unsure if it was due to the rain, but many shops were closed that day, and even 2 hours felt insufficient.
6. Overall, highly recommended.
The driver was great, the customer service was excellent, they contacted me in advance, picked me up on time at the agreed time, communication in Chinese was smooth, the vehicle was clean, and the service was friendly.
Driver Bian was very nice, with excellent driving skills and punctuality. The car was comfortable, and the point-to-point service was very convenient, eliminating the need for us to find our way. Because it was raining that day, we wanted to change our itinerary, and Bian was happy to contact the company to see if we could make some minor adjustments.
The park is very thoughtfully designed; it would be best to stay overnight at the park's hotel for convenient access to water activities. Even on weekdays, the park isn't crowded, making for a very pleasant experience.
