Mt. Hanare is known as a 'Table Mountain' due to its gentle, table-like appearance. With an elevation of 1256m and well-maintained trails, it is a popular spot for casual hiking among Karuizawa locals. From the summit, you can see Mt. Asama up close, and on clear days, even Mt. Fuji in the distance. If you are lucky, you might even encounter a Japanese serow along the way!? At the end of the trekking, we will head to 'Kumoba Pond', one of the most scenic spots in Karuizawa. The fresh greenery in spring and the autumn leaves reflected on the lake surface show the beautiful expressions of the four seasons. Kumoba Pond Parking Lot ⇒ Mt.
