I started my tour with a 200 yen private guided tour. Originally a local, I only knew the name of the Tomioka Silk Mill, and I've recently become more interested in historical matters. This was largely a personal experience, but I learned a lot and was very satisfied. The exhibits were well-organized, and the smartphone audio guide was excellent overall. If you don't have much prior knowledge, I recommend taking a guided tour or following the route to the museum and getting some information beforehand. I also recommend using the smartphone audio guide mentioned earlier. (Earphones are recommended.) I used the kkday app, but using the ticket machine at the venue seems less hassle. Downloading the app and entering personal information was a hassle, and the app's initial coupon, which offered a 100 yen discount, was only valid for purchases of 2,000 yen or more, so it only reduced my limited viewing time and provided no real benefit.

I went there for the first time for my car-loving son and husband! I was so happy to see them so excited about Initial D! The retro atmosphere made me feel like I had traveled back in time! It was so much fun!

We are a family with a fifth and third grader. We were able to ride all the rides from the afternoon until the park closed. We rode the ones we liked three times and enjoyed the rides with almost no waiting time. The staff were also friendly.
