Product Info

Discover Florence from a new perspective on a private electric golf cart, far from the crowds and deep into the city’s green hills. Starting at Porta Romana, a 14th-century gate once guarding the southern entrance to Florence, you leave the busiest streets behind and climb toward the elegant hill roads linked to Galileo’s legacy.

Travel along Viale Machiavelli and Viale Galileo, the scenic 19th-century boulevards designed by architect Giuseppe Poggi, surrounded by cypress trees, noble villas and panoramic views. The ride reveals a quieter Florence — the Florence of gardens, scholars and terraces overlooking the Arno valley.

Passing near Poggio Imperiale, once a Medici and then grand-ducal residence, you reach the peaceful district of Arcetri. Here stands Villa Il Gioiello, visible from the outside, where Galileo Galilei spent his final years under house arrest. Despite his fading sight, he continued to dictate revolutionary works that changed the course of science forever. The nearby Arcetri Observatory still honors his legacy, linking past and present research on the cosmos.

The golf cart continues toward the Piccolo Belvedere, a scenic viewpoint overlooking Florence’s red roofs and the starting point of a short panoramic walk. Due to local access regulations affecting the UNESCO historic area, golf carts cannot drive directly into some restricted areas, including San Miniato al Monte and Piazzale Michelangelo.

For this reason, the golf cart stops nearby, at the Piccolo Belvedere area, and guests continue on foot along a short scenic route. From here, you can walk toward San Miniato al Monte, an extraordinary Romanesque church in one of the most peaceful and spiritual corners of Florence, and then continue toward Piazzale Michelangelo, the city’s most famous panoramic viewpoint.

From Piazzale Michelangelo, Florence opens up in a breathtaking view: the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio and the historic rooftops appear together in one unforgettable panorama. Take your time for photos and enjoy the silence above the city before returning to your golf cart.

As you descend back toward Porta Romana, you will have discovered a Florence few visitors ever see — a blend of art, nature and science wrapped in elegance and tranquility. This 1.5-hour private tour combines comfort, culture and beautiful views, offering an authentic and sustainable way to experience the timeless beauty of Florence.
