Gyeonggi Province has many charming attractions, such as Dumulmeori, famous for its beautiful sunrise; the historic Suwon Hwaseong Fortress; and the European-style Petite France village and Swiss Theme Park. There are several convenient public transportation options from Seoul to Gyeonggi Province. You can choose to take trains from Seoul Station, including KTX, Mugunghwa, or SRT. In addition, red tourist buses that travel between Gyeonggi Province and Seoul, as well as some Seoul subway lines, can directly reach areas in Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi Province is not included within Seoul City itself but is the surrounding province that encircles Seoul Special City. The two are geographically closely connected, with Gyeonggi Province surrounding Seoul. Many Seoul subway lines can conveniently connect to various parts of Gyeonggi Province. You can imagine the relationship between the two as being similar to that of New Taipei City and Taipei City in Taiwan, though Gyeonggi Province is much larger in area.

Gyeonggi Province is located in the central part of the Korean Peninsula, roughly between 126° and 127° East longitude and 36° and 38° North latitude. It encircles South Korea's capital, Seoul, and Incheon Metropolitan City. It faces the Yellow Sea to the west, borders the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the 38th parallel to the north, connects with Gangwon Province to the east, and neighbors Chungcheongbuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do to the south. Gyeonggi Province has a total area of 10,175 square kilometers, accounting for about 10.1% of South Korea's total land area.
