Recommended activities include lunch at Yamaju's Yama Cafe, a nearby renowned Japanese restaurant, or a stroll through Kamoyama Park, home to Aomi Shrine, where Kenshin Uesugi's mother is said to have visited for monthly visits when she was pregnant with Kenshin, and the squirrel park (April to November). You can also see 500 carp streamers swimming in the Kamo River from April to early May, and salmon swimming upstream in November. Our shop is located in a shopping district known as Longevity Street, with an arcade called Gangi. Enjoy a stroll along the shopping street and take photos with the historic buildings of Kamo in the background. ~Experience Schedule~ 10:25 AM Meeting and reception (start time is an example). The worship hall boasts magnificent carvings and a nightingale-patterned corridor, making it a shrine well worth a visit. Within the same grounds, there are many other attractions, including the sacred pond, Kamoyama Park, Kamoyama Squirrel Garden, Snow Camellia Garden, Sculpture Forest, and the Kamo Historical Museum.
