- About the Attractions -

  • Fushimi Jikkokubune

Stroll along the Uji River canal in Fushimi and enjoy the spring scenery where cherry blossoms, willow trees, and traditional sake breweries intertwine. This was once a waterway for transporting passengers and goods, and today you can experience the historical charm of Fushimi from the riverside. This itinerary includes a riverside walk; the Jikkokubune boat ride is not included.

(★Estimated blooming period: Late March to early April)

  • Sewaritei

Located in Yawata City, Kyoto, Sewaritei is one of the most famous cherry blossom paths in the Kansai region. About 250 Somei Yoshino cherry trees are planted along the 1.4 km embankment, forming a magnificent pink cherry blossom tunnel every spring. Walking through it, you can feel the dreamy atmosphere as cherry blossoms intertwine overhead and petals fall with the breeze. While strolling along the path, you can overlook the river view where the Kizu and Yodo rivers meet. With its wide view, it is perfect for photography, walking, and picnicking, making it the most popular cherry blossom experience in Kyoto during spring. The Sewaritei Cherry Blossom Festival is held on select dates during the blooming season; actual dates are subject to official announcements.

(★Estimated blooming period: Late March to early April)

  • Daigo-ji Temple

Daigo-ji Temple is a famous World Heritage site in Kyoto, known as one of the 'premier cherry blossom spots in Kyoto.' It became even more famous after Toyotomi Hideyoshi held the 'Daigo Hanami' here in 1598. The temple grounds are vast, with various cherry trees planted from the Sanbo-in and Garan areas to the Reihokan Museum, including over a thousand trees such as Somei Yoshino, weeping cherry, and mountain cherry trees.
