[Nagaoka Fireworks Festival]

This fireworks festival is held every year from August 2nd to 3rd in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, and is one of the three major fireworks festivals in Japan. The fireworks last for about 110 minutes, and it is a very popular festival that attracts over 1 million people every year.

  • The fireworks viewing seats for this course are the "Station Side Mass Seats". It will take about 20-30 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the viewing seats. Also, after the fireworks are over, it will take about 50-60 minutes on foot one way from the viewing seats to Nagaoka Station. Please note this in advance. There are no shades or other objects to block the sun at the viewing seats. Please prepare a parasol, hat, fan, or other shade in advance. The fireworks display will be held even if the weather deteriorates slightly, but in the unlikely event that the fireworks display is canceled, we will refund the cost of the viewing seats (our purchase cost). Also, after the fireworks display, the surrounding roads will be very congested, so you may not arrive at the accommodation until late at night.

  • Please note that unreserved seats are available on the Shinkansen between Nagaoka Station and Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Please note that you may not be able to sit down depending on how busy the train is.
