Takachiho

This day trip included train and boat tours to Aso, Kusanagi, and Takachiho. Each attraction had a dedicated guide who provided detailed explanations of its history and attractions, even outlining which souvenirs to buy. The soft serve ice cream in the Aso area was incredibly rich and delicious. Since the crater was closed, we opted for the Kamishimi Kumanozha shrine instead, which was very tranquil. However, the steep shrine and Takachiho Gorge were a bit challenging due to the rain, so it's advisable to bring a raincoat or hiking poles if needed. I'm very grateful to the wonderful guide and driver throughout the trip; I had a fantastic time.

The customized itinerary was very convenient, and they also provided timely suggestions, helping to guide visitors to attractions and calling ahead to inquire about restaurant availability. It's quite far, and the drive is long. This was my second time going. Last time I went in the summer, and it was lush and green, quite beautiful. This time I went with my family, and I was surprised to see Mount Aso, but it was very far away, and the grass on the mountain hadn't grown yet; it was bare and a yellowish-brown color, which was different from what I had imagined. But that's how the natural environment is, and it's so far away that we had to delay our meal. We ate almost one meal and then prepared to head back. We were short on time, and with elderly people with us, we couldn't go very far. Traveling with elderly people requires careful consideration.
