We had been in Hanoi a few days but this was our first tour due to the tet holidays, and honestly she put in so much context to things we had seen , and this context made everything richer. Also, the coffee place she took us too was just pretty amazing even though we had tried a range of coffees over the last three days. Totally reccomend this tour when in Hanoi. Our tour automatically became private because it was just us on the rainy morning. But I loved the flow and she was really knowledgeable about the history and architecture revolving around the French quarter !
"We spent our morning with Dung who started the tour by offering us a coffee and information, then we started walking through the black market as she shared stories and anecdotes about the place, the city etc during the Resistance War years. We were 7 participants in the group which was a good size as the alleys were narrow and we were aware of the effort the organisers had to make to bring us through the neighbourhood whose inhabitants could choose to be unfriendly. We took a taxi to the street that was heavily bombed and ended the tour with a drink by the Southern Railway track. This allowed us to understand Hanoi and its inhabitants a bit more and to admire their resilience and courage. Dung is young, keen to learn and passionate about her work. We were glad we joined the tour."
Last year, it took me an hour and a half to clear immigration at Noi Bai Airport. This time, I used the priority immigration procedure, was able to meet with staff immediately, and cleared immigration in about two minutes. It was stress-free, comfortable, and allowed me to make good use of my time.
I had trouble finding the pick-up location and almost got lost, but I found them after searching carefully. They took me smoothly to my destination, which was a great help.
I enjoyed the show and the meal and social time before the performance began.
