Cruise geothermal bays immersing yourself in hot sand beaches, glow worm caves, and historic Mãori sites, all set against a backdrop of lush natural beauty, so much packed into a single tour!

Your bespoke vessel is designed and hand-built by the Pure Cruise team on the shore of Lake Rotoiti, this unique, one-of-a-kind vessel "The Airstream Project" offers a classic, intimate way to explore the lake's hidden places. The experience can be as active or as relaxed as you like. Twist your feet into the hot sand stream and beach, take a dip in the lake's clear waters, leap from overhanging trees into the clear fresh waters, or wade into the glow worm caves to see their gentle living glow even during the day. Or simply sit back, unwind, and enjoy the stunning backdrop, the scenery is often so close you can reach out and touch it.

In the remote northern bays, see and learn about the historic Maori food storage caves that are carved into the cliffs, a special sight only visible from the water. Be stroking distance to the native mosses and ferns as your boat glides right into a cave lined with birds nests and vines.

Enjoy complimentary morning tea as the stunning landscape drifts past. This is the Rotorua Lakes as few ever experience them - up close, unhurried, and truly unforgettable.

Duration approx.: 2.5 hours (9:30am - 12:00pm), runs October to April

1. Age Restriction: No age restriction, suitable for all ages, children must be supervised around water

2.Transportation Zone: No hotel transfers included, guests make their own way to The Pure Cruise Marina, Mourea

3.Health & Safety Advisory:

・Involves swimming and wading in natural water including a cave, guests should be confident in and around water and supervise children closely

・Wheelchair access is available on our vessels, please contact us before booking to confirm suitability. Restroom facility at Base.

・Please disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking

・BYO alcohol is not permitted on board, a licensed bar is available

Reminders

  • Please arrive at the designated location 15 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time

  • Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a drink bottle

  • Cash or EFTPOS is available for onboard bar purchases or merchandise

  • The itinerary may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Please check your messages or the operator’s website for updates

  • Please inform the operator in advance if you plan to bring a stroller, wheelchair, or large equipment

  • No refunds will be given for no-shows or late arrivals

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 31 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 8 to 30 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 25% will apply
  • For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–1 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
