A wooden boat that has been used in Okinawa since ancient times. It is propelled by rowing with a wake and using sails to catch the wind. Cruising while feeling the nature is a wonderful experience. First-timers and children are also welcome. Tour photos are a gift. Let's enjoy the sea of Zamami aboard a Sabani!! ~Experience flow~ 10:00 Meeting/Registration Those arriving by the first high-speed ferry will be met at the port. After registering at the shop, you will be fitted with a mask and fins. 10:15 Briefing You will see the Sabani in person and receive an explanation of it. We will lecture you on how to row and points to be careful of. 10:25 The Sabani is launched into the sea and departure The destination will vary depending on the wind of the day, but we will go to an uninhabited island whenever possible. Enjoy cruising while feeling the sound of the waves and wind and nature. The destination will be determined by the weather. 11:00 Snorkeling at an uninhabited island. After arriving at the uninhabited island and taking a short break, we'll go snorkeling. Let's be soothed by the coral reefs and tropical fish. 11:45 Sabani cruising to Zamami Port. We'll cruise towards Zamami Port, our final destination. 12:10 Arrival in Zamami. We'll return to the shop and the tour will end.

The Okinawan wooden boat, the sabani, is handcrafted by artisans without the use of nails or screws. While it was once used for practical purposes, the rise of engines has led to a decline in riders and boat builders. The sabani is propelled by rowing with a wake and sails that catch the wind. With no engine noise or gasoline smell, it's the perfect eco-friendly mode of transport for today's world. Every June, a sabani race is held from Zamami to Naha. We want many people to learn about and experience the sabani. Let's enjoy rowing and swimming in the beautiful ocean!
