First, we'll take a boat from Ishigaki Island for about 50 minutes to Minami Barasu Island, a small island made of bleached coral located between Aragusuku Island (commonly known as Panari Island), a remote island with a mermaid legend, and Kuroshima Island, a heart-shaped island when viewed from above! The island was formed by bleached coral being washed ashore by the waves! The coral at this spot is truly pure white, and combined with the crystal-clear waters of Kuroshima Island, it's not only Instagrammable, but just being there will soothe your soul! It's seriously amazing! *This is a different island from Barasu Island located between Uehara on Iriomote Island and Hatoma Island! After landing, we'll head a little further north and swim at snorkeling spots around Kuroshima Island! This spot doesn't have many coral reefs, but the seabed is densely packed with fine sand, giving it a true sandy bottom feel. The water is so clear that it's known as "Kuroshima Blue," making it like a natural swimming pool teeming with fish. It's a very popular spot for Instagrammers, skin divers, and ocean lovers! If you like free diving or want to try it, our staff will give you a lesson, so let's dive together! In winter, if you're lucky, you might even see the popular manta rays! Afterwards, we'll land on Heart Island Kuroshima, have lunch, rent bicycles from "Kuroshima Rent-a-Cycle," and explore the island by bicycle! This island has about 10 times more cows than people! Kuroshima also has many wonderful tourist spots! The "Iko Pier," a registered tangible cultural property, stretches straight up into the blue sky, making you feel like you're walking on the sea. From the top of the "Kuroshima Observatory," the highest point on the island, a breathtaking view unfolds! Kuroshima, famous nationwide as a sea turtle nesting ground, is home to the "Kuroshima Research Institute," a facility dedicated to studying sea turtles! At this facility, you can feed sea turtles and see various other creatures such as sharks and rays! *An entrance fee of ¥500 per person is required. Other recommended beaches include "Nakamoto Beach," where you can play in the shallow waters at low tide, and "Nishi-no-hama," a natural beach stretching for approximately 2km! This tour allows you to enjoy not only snorkeling but also sightseeing on the island!
