Dress Code & Etiquette: As Prambanan is a sacred religious site, visitors are required to dress modestly. Please ensure your shoulders and knees are covered. Sarongs may be provided at the entrance if needed.
Monday Maintenance Policy: Please be advised that on Mondays, access is limited to the outdoor park and temple grounds only; entry into the inner temple structures is strictly prohibited for conservation purposes.
Terrain & Accessibility: The complex features uneven stone paths and stairs within the temple zones. It is not recommended for visitors with severe mobility challenges, though the outer park areas are stroller and wheelchair accessible.
Weather Readiness: Most of the complex is open-air with limited shade. We highly recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and applying sunscreen to stay comfortable during your exploration.
Site Regulations: To preserve this World Heritage site, smoking, drinking alcohol, and bringing outside food or drinks into the temple area are strictly prohibited.
Entry Policy: Please arrive well before the last entry time (typically 30-45 minutes before closing). Note that re-entry is not permitted once you have exited the venue.
Professional Photography: While personal photography is encouraged, the use of drones or professional filming equipment requires prior written permit and additional fees from the temple management.
Re-entry is not allowed after leaving the venue.
For maintenance activities at Prambanan Temple, visits on Mondays are limited to the park area surrounding Prambanan Temple (only Zone 2), cannot entry to Zone 1.
