Product Info

Jogasaki Coast was formed when lava from the eruption of Mt. Omuro about 4,000 years ago flowed into the sea and was eroded by rough waves over a long period. We will walk to visit steep terrains that look like they could be settings for suspense dramas and mysterious landscapes that are hard to explain.
Iga-Iga Ne?
True to its name, this is the widest lava field on the Jogasaki Coast, where a jagged, thorny plateau spreads out in all directions, offering a 180-degree view. Lava ripples, showing how the lava flowed toward the open sea, continue like mountain ranges.
Let's find the potholes!
Potholes are circular holes that form on the rock surfaces of riverbeds or riverbanks. As the surface is eroded by water flow, stones trapped inside rotate to create large, rounded holes. It is a truly mysterious sight.
