It's also known as Omi's Itsukushima, thanks to its large torii gate floating in the lake with Okishima Island in the background. As the oldest shrine in Omi, it is known as the god of longevity and prolonged life, as its name suggests. It is also the "god of guidance" for all pursuits, including safe navigation, perfect for SUP. The large torii gate is said to be a landmark for visitors arriving by boat. There's plenty to see within the shrine grounds, so be sure to pay your respects before heading home!

- 00:00Reception. The reception for Shirahige SUP is located inside the Shirahige Beach Campground, on the side closest to Kyoto (towards Shirahige Shrine). Look for the large white glamping tent. There are changing rooms on-site, so please change beforehand and arrive at reception 5 minutes before your scheduled time.
- 00:00Land-based briefing. Before getting on the SUP on the lake, the instructor will explain how to get on the SUP, how to use the paddle and your body, and the course on land.
- 00:00Let's set off towards the large torii gate in the middle of Lake Biwa at Shirahige Shrine! We'll actually get on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) on the water, practicing our paddling techniques as we head towards Shirahige Shrine and its large torii gate. Once you get a little more comfortable, you'll have time to enjoy the scenery. Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring power and breathtaking beauty of the vast Lake Biwa.
- 00:00Arrived at the large torii gate of Shirahige Shrine! Time for a commemorative photo! Perfect for Instagram! Pass through the magnificent torii gate towering over the mystical Lake Biwa and take a commemorative photo in front of it! Your instructor will take plenty of photos during the experience and send them to you by email later. We will capture the experience and the beautiful scenery. Feel free to upload the photos to social media or use them as you like.
- 00:00Free time around the large torii gate. You can park your board at one of the private beaches (sandy beaches) scattered around the large torii gate and visit Shirahige Shrine. While gazing at the beautiful, crystal-clear water, you can also see countless schools of fish. You can leisurely admire the scenery, try SUP yoga, practice turns, or explore the surrounding area by paddling your SUP. Some people even have fun competing with their friends or trying to push each other off.
- 00:00We set off towards Shirahige Beach. Once our free time is over, we'll head back towards Shirahige Beach, where we started. We'll paddle through the beautiful scenery, enjoying the stunning views. Everyone's stand-up paddleboarding skills have improved considerably on the way back!

Regarding cancellation of the event:
- The tour will proceed even if it is light rain, but if there are safety concerns such as heavy rain, flooding, or strong wind/storm warnings, the tour may be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, we will not be able to compensate for travel expenses to the site, etc. Please be aware of this in advance.
Other important points to note:
- The nearest convenience store is Lawson Omi Takashima (next to JR Omi Takashima Station). There is also a hot spring called "Hiratopia" nearby.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 2 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
