Tables and seats on the day will be arranged by the winery service staff. Please follow the service staff's instructions to sit down and dine.
You will pass through mountain roads on the way to the winery. It is recommended to take motion sickness medicine or bring related medicines according to your personal physical condition.
Because it rains easily in mountainous areas, it is recommended to carry rain gear with you, wear light and comfortable long-sleeved trousers and non-slip shoes, and prepare warm clothes to protect against low temperatures in mountainous areas.
To participate in the wine tasting event, you must be over 18 years old. Please prepare your identity document when you go to dine, and submit it to the on-site personnel for age verification.
There is also a 30-minute winery guided tour every day that you can take on your own. The times are: 10:30 / 13:30 / 15:30.
If force majeure such as typhoons, heavy rains, earthquakes, etc. causes the event to be delayed, the date can be postponed (valid within six months) or the reservation can be cancelled.
On-site activities are provided by the event organizer and are solely responsible for handling. KKday has no involvement. If you have any questions, please contact the event organizer.
When visiting wineries/museums/lectures/wine-making activities, tasting activities of related brands will be provided on-site. You can show relevant identification and be inspected by on-site staff before you can participate freely.
Nestled on a mountainside, Yilan Distillery & Winery features lush Southeast Asian courtyard landscaping, creating a secluded estate ambiance. The spring water originates from the pristine Shei-Pa National Park mountains, the air is fresh, and the surroundings offer serene forest views. This setting allows visitors to slow down and immerse themselves in nature and a tipsy afternoon.
As the winery is located on a mountainside, driving yourself is recommended for convenience, and there is a parking lot available. If using public transportation, you can take a train to Yilan Station or Luodong Station, and then transfer to a taxi or pre-book a shuttle service. For itinerary planning, consider chartering a vehicle for door-to-door convenience.
The limited-time 'Tipsy Summer' experience includes various activities. You will have a guided tour through the forest wine cellar to learn about local brewing culture and the winery's story. Following that, you'll savor seasonal handmade gourmet dishes prepared by the chef, paired with three types of beverages for dining or independent tasting, enjoying a tipsy afternoon in the mountain secret realm.
During the wine tasting experience at the winery, you will have the opportunity to sample three selected beverages. These drinks are designed to complement the winery's unique handmade gourmet dishes and can also be enjoyed on their own, allowing you to savor the aroma and layers of the fine wines, enhancing your meal or simply enjoying the pleasure of tasting.
The winery's exclusive, chef's-choice handmade dishes are truly unique. The chef utilizes fresh ingredients from the winery's own garden and seafood from the nearby Daxi Fishing Harbor, combined with spring water from the Shei-Pa mountains, to create low-carbon 'farm-to-table' cuisine. The dishes subtly incorporate the aroma of wine, adding richness and complexity to the flavors.
The guided tour at the winery will take you through the forest wine cellar, offering an in-depth look into the winery's history and the unique local brewing culture of Yilan. The tour will cover the brewing process, the local ingredients used, and how the winery combines its natural environment and cultural elements to develop its distinctive brewing philosophy.
The 'Tipsy Summer' is a refined half-day tour. We recommend allocating approximately 3 to 4 hours to fully experience it. This includes the guided tour, enjoying the handmade dishes and beverages, and relaxing in the serene mountain environment, allowing you to unwind and fully appreciate the winery's unique charm.
The winery's prime location provides it with pristine spring water from the Shei-Pa mountains, ensuring the quality of its wines and cuisine. It is also close to Daxi Fishing Harbor for fresh seafood and has its own garden for seasonal vegetables. This enables the winery to adhere to its 'farm-to-table' low-carbon philosophy, utilizing fresh local ingredients.
