Standing on the bridge, you can feel a slight thrill as it sways with the movement of the crowd. Every autumn (from late September to early October), this place becomes a prime spot for viewing autumn leaves, with the hillsides covered in brilliant shades of red and yellow, creating a stunning landscape.

【Biei Shrine】

Biei Shrine was established in the early Meiji era. It is famous for its red torii gate and heart-shaped decorations. It is said that finding the heart-shaped marks on the torii gate can bring good luck in love. As a result, it is a popular power spot for visitors from all over the world who come to pray for their love life.

【Shikisai-no-oka】

Shikisai-no-oka is a tourist garden located in Biei-cho, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido, Japan. Situated on a hill along Biei's 'Panorama Road', the 15-hectare garden features a variety of flowers such as lavender, lupines, cosmos, and sunflowers, which are planted according to the season between April and October each year. With about 30 different types of flowers planted throughout the year, the entire hill remains a vibrant and colorful landscape. In autumn, the hill transforms into a colorful canvas of fall foliage, with cosmos and golden grasses interweaving, making it one of Hokkaido's iconic spots for autumn leaf viewing.

【Tokachidake Bogakudai】

Mount Tokachi is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. Bogakudai is located on its mountainside at an altitude of 930 meters, offering a panoramic view of the entire mountain range, including the summit. On a clear day, you can enjoy magnificent views from Bogakudai, stretching from Mount Asahi and Mount Biei to the town of Biei and Kamifurano. In addition to the spectacular natural scenery, Bogakudai also preserves lava flows from the eruption of Mount Tokachi, allowing visitors to experience the power of nature, which is part of its charm. It is said that if you stack your own stone among the scattered, rugged rocks on the ground at Bogakudai, your wish will come true.

【Shirahige Waterfall】

With a drop of 30 meters and an altitude of 600 meters, Shirahige Waterfall is located in the Shirogane Onsen area of Biei-cho. It is named 'Shirahige Waterfall' (White Beard Waterfall) because the water cascades down from the crevices of the rocks like a white beard. The water gushing from underground hits the rocks, creating spray that glows with a blue hue.

【Blue Pond】

A hidden gem just a 5-minute drive from Shirogane Onsen in Biei. Its charm has even been recognized by Apple, which featured it as a computer wallpaper.

【Kurodake Ropeway】

The 'Kurodake Ropeway', which has been in operation since 1967, takes just 7 minutes to travel from the Sounkyo Station at the foot of Mount Kurodake (670 meters above sea level) to the Kurodake Station at the mountainside (1,300 meters above sea level). From the mountainside, you can take the 'Kurodake pair lift' to travel between the mountainside and the summit. However, if you want to enjoy the panoramic view from the 1,984-meter summit, you will need to hike for about another hour and a half. Both the end of the mountainside ropeway and the end of the pair lift have a walking trail, so even if you don't hike to the summit, you can enjoy alpine plants and forests in the summer, colorful autumn foliage in the fall, and spectacular snowy scenery in the winter.

【Ginga and Ryusei Waterfalls】

A 24-kilometer stretch of cliffs along the Ishikari River. Among the several waterfalls cascading down from the cliffs, two are the most beautiful. The 'Ginga Waterfalls' flow down like thin white threads, while the 'Ryusei Waterfalls' are powerful and majestic, like a thick, bold waterfall. The view from the parking lot is of these famous waterfalls, which have been selected as one of the 100 Best Waterfalls in Japan; their sheer scale and power make them a masterpiece.

【Mikuni Pass】

Mikuni Pass is a famous mountain viewpoint in Hokkaido, located in the center of the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range. At an altitude of approximately 1,139 meters, it is a major passage connecting the Kamikawa and Tokachi regions. Mikuni Pass is known for its spectacular mountain scenery and fresh air. Visitors can enjoy the distinct beauty of the four seasons here, especially in autumn, when the mountains are covered in red leaves, creating a picturesque scene.

【Naitai Highland Farm】

Naitai Highland Farm is a highland farm in Hokkaido, located in a hilly area with a beautiful environment. It features vast grasslands and pastures where visitors can get up close to various livestock, such as dairy cows and sheep. Visitors can also taste fresh dairy products and food made at the farm, making it an ideal destination for families and nature lovers.
