This show is held twice a year, and more than 100 Akita dogs join!
This tour will be held 3rd May!
They will be evaluated their appearance as Akita Inu(dog) Standard.
You can meet lots of Akitas in this venue in this a day trip. You might come in contact with them!

Meet up at Akita station where the last stop of Akita Shinkansen (bullet train).
It takes less than 4 hours by Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo. Also, there are some flights from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda airport: HND). It takes 40 minutes from Akita airport to Akita station by airport bus.
We take a chartered bus from Akita Station to Odate City where the venue is located. We depart from No.5 bus stand of the Akita station east exit at 8:00.
It takes about 2 hours.

After arriving Keijo park, the venue of show, we have a briefing on Akita dog critiques at the Akita dog breeders' Show. The Akita dog Show is an official Akita dog appearance contest held by the Akita Inu(dog) Preservation Society. Various kind of features are evaluated. We appreciate for 1 hour.
During appreciation, you can walk around the park and come in contact with Akitas.

We see an exhibit on the history of Akita dog and deepen our knowledge of Akita dog at Akita Dog Museum for 1 hour.

After lunch, we watch the Akita Inu Show again for 1 hour.
Next visit is "Akita Inu no Sato" or Akita Dog Visitor Center. You can see AKITAs through the window and see and buy various kinds of AKITA dog souvenirs.

The charter bus takes you to the Akita Station. The Estimated return time is 18:00.

Lunch will be on your own. You may also eat at a stall in the show venue. If you wish, we will take you to a chicken rice restaurant by bus. But if the restaurant is crowded, you will buy chicken Bento (Lunchbox for take away).

You couldn’t take luggage to the chartered bus.
If you couldn’t leave your luggage in your hotel, there are two luggage locker service around Akita station so please let us know in advance. We will tell you where are. These lockers are cash or SUICA (prepaid transportation IC card) only.

Please meet your guide at the east exit of JR Akita Station Platform 5. Take a chartered bus from Akita Station to Odate City, where the venue is located. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.

After arriving at Keijo Park, the show venue, you have explanation how to watch Akita dog show. Akita dog Show is the official Akita dog appearance contest held by the Akita Inu(dog) Preservation Society. Various characteristics of Akita dogs are evaluated. You will watch it for 1 hour. While viewing, you can walk around the park and interact with Akita dogs.

Spend 1 hour at the Akita Inu Museum exploring exhibits on the history of Akita dogs and learning more about them.

Please prepare your own lunch. You can also eat at food stalls inside the show venue. If you wish, we will take you to the chicken rice shop by bus. However, if the store is crowded, you will purchase a chicken bento (take-out).

After lunch, we will watch the Akita dog show again for 1 hour.
14:00
Next visit is the Akita Inu no Sato or Akita Inu Visitor Center. You can view Akita dogs from the window and see/purchase various Akita dog souvenirs.

We will take a chartered bus to Akita Station. The scheduled return time is 18:00.
