It has prospered as a gathering place for goods since ancient times, and is an essential place for sightseeing in Okayama. Walking through the townscape where traditional Japanese architecture remains, you will feel as if you have traveled back in time to the Edo period. In particular, a walk along the willow trees and along the river will create memorable memories of your trip.
- On the Kurashiki River, which represents the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, you can enjoy the Kurashiki cityscape from a boat. The boatman, wearing a hat, rows the boat with a pole over a distance of about 600 meters for about 20 minutes. Listen to the boatman's entertaining commentary while enjoying the view from the boat, which is different from the view from the ground.
- “Ohashi Family Residence” is a townhouse built by a large landowner in Kurashiki and designated as an important cultural property.
