Our driver arrived really early, he's really polite and helpful despite limited English. We were able to visit all our intended places and he assisted in helping us finding good local restaurant for lunch. Really recommended the package
The journey began with hotel pickup. After an hour's drive from the city, we stopped at a rest stop for breakfast and a restroom break before heading to the hiking starting point. We were led by two guides from the Karen Tribe. Local guides accompanied the group throughout the hike, sharing insights into the wildlife and flora we saw and helping us take photos at scenic spots. A vegetarian lunch was also thoughtfully provided. In the afternoon, we visited Doi Inthanon, a high point in Thailand, where we learned that it was named in honor of the last king of the Lanna Kingdom. We then visited the memorial pagodas for the king and queen, and finally a final, drenching waterfall. The entire journey was enriching and moderately demanding. Although the hike took two hours, it was mostly downhill, and bamboo poles were available for borrowing as trekking poles. The itinerary also included stops at souvenir shops from the Karen tribe and another ethnic minority, offering free food and drink tastings without any pushy sales. I recommend this itinerary for those who want to experience Chiang Mai's nature and learn about the local culture.
The morning included feeding the elephants and playing in the water together. We got close to them without forcing them, ensuring they received better care – it was well worth it. Lunch was noodles, fruit, and drinks, which were surprisingly delicious. The highest point in the afternoon was just a marker for a commemorative photo XD. The hiking trails, however, were quite stunning, not difficult, and rich in scenery and ecology. A local guide led the way, and we finished by enjoying some local coffee. Overall, a very satisfying experience!
