It wasn't as scary as I imagined. I can't remember how the final step started. I felt short of breath during the fall, but after adjusting myself and switching to a paraglider, I felt much calmer. It's definitely worth the jump!
The boat was very stable and didn't cause seasickness. There were two decks to choose from; it's recommended to arrive early to queue for seats on the upper deck. The farm itself was beautiful, and the buffet was quite good. After lunch, watching the sheep shearing show was perfect. It was a very relaxing trip.
The staff were friendly, and the captain would occasionally stop to explain things while navigating. He would also use hand gestures to warn passengers before any exciting spins, so everyone could prepare. It wasn't scary at all; in fact, it was thrilling and fun. However, be careful as your phone, hat, and sunglasses might fly away, so keep them secure. It gets a little wet, so I recommend wearing clothing made of quick-drying material.
We departed from Te Anau, and the driver stopped at 4-5 photo spots along the way, stopping for 5-10 minutes at each. The timing of our arrival at the fjord was perfect; we boarded the boat after 10 minutes. The boat offered complimentary coffee and fresh milk, as well as sandwiches. If you chose the lunch set, you received a lunchbox. The boat trip took approximately 1.5 hours, and after returning to shore, we started our return journey, driving all the way back to Te Anau.
