A diverse, in-depth, and incredibly worthwhile day trip!
Taking this tour on the last day in Busan was absolutely worthwhile! It took an off-the-beaten-path approach, delving into the rich history and local culture, and the food was authentic and delicious. The tour guide was incredibly enthusiastic and professional, and the group members were warm and supportive of each other. A deep, experiential, and delicious trip—it was the perfect ending to my Busan adventure!
If you want to take a cooking class in Busan- this one is for you. We choose a English speaking guide - Ms.Yejin. She was really kind. First we went to a gupo market (huge local people food market with vegetables, fruits, seafood and many many more!) . The guide told us a bit of a history that happend neer the market. Then we went to a cooking studio, where the cooking chef was waiting for us. We made delicious autentic korean dishes. It was fun! And finally we went to workshop where you can make your own keychain. You can also write your name in korean (the guide will help you to translate it). I will recomend that tour for anyone who want to learn something new and make a unique souvenire 😀
The fireworks were beautiful, but the signage was unclear, the flow of people was chaotic, and the crowds were overwhelming. Be prepared if you want to go.
It was my first time at a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and I was able to relax in a clean and calm atmosphere. (I went on a weekday morning.) The low-temperature bedrock bath felt so good that I ended up falling asleep. The sikhye (Korean rice drink) was refreshing and delicious. I also had the experience of customizing my ramen with the ramen machine, which made for a great memory.
Since both locations are relatively difficult to reach, joining a tour group is a good option. Upon boarding, we were given a gift (neck pillow) and a bowl of Jin Ramen (unfortunately, Zhenzhen's face isn't on it anymore). At rest stops, they even treated us to snacks. If we had any questions, we could directly contact the tour leader. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.
