1. Our tour guide, Liu Mei, was very attentive and provided excellent service, explaining everything in detail. We chose our seats first upon arrival at the meeting point. 2. The drive from Nagoya to Kamikochi takes four hours, but there are rest stops along the way, so it's not too tiring. 3. We had a four-hour stop in Kamikochi. We chose Route A, which involved about an hour and a half of walking for photos. There's a restaurant near Kappa Bridge where we could have lunch. On the way to the hotel, our guide was very kind and even took us to a supermarket to stock up on food for tomorrow's lunch. When some members of our group were late for the meeting in Kamikochi, our guide apologized to us. 4. Although the hotel we stayed at was a bit old, the buffet had a good variety of dishes. There were also indoor and outdoor hot springs for bathing. 5. We met at 7:30 am the next day and departed for Ogisawa Station, which took about 50 minutes. The guide explained all the transportation options in detail. It was a pity that we couldn't see the snow walls at Murodo Station due to heavy fog… 6. The return trip from Tateyama Station to Nagoya also takes four hours, with rest stops along the way.
The tour leader was friendly and patient in explaining everything, and the various transportation routes were smooth. The entire itinerary was well-arranged. Although the journey was remote and the time was tight, it was a pity that the weather was not good enough to walk through the snow valley. However, it allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery with peace of mind, making it excellent value for money.
I chose a tour group departing from Tokyo because I was visiting relatives there. Unexpectedly, out of the 43 people in the group, only my husband and I were Taiwanese; the rest were Japanese, and over 70% of them were over 60 years old. Whenever I spoke to them in English, they looked terrified. Fortunately, our tour leader, Shiomi-san, was very attentive and caring, allowing us, with our Japanese only at an N5 level, to successfully visit the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the Kurobe Gorge, and the Kamikochi Plateau.
Our tour guide, Ms. Ma, provided a very detailed and responsible introduction. The restaurant was nice, with plentiful food and great value for money. Unfortunately, the fog was too thick to visit the snow wall, but I would definitely visit again next time.
Our tour group departed from Dotonbori, Osaka on May 19th and 20th. Our guide, Hana, was a very gentle and attentive person. She managed the pace perfectly, taking photos for everyone along the way, providing explanations, and arranging delicious dinners at the hotels! The weather was beautifully clear during the trip, and the group members were all very punctual, making for a very smooth itinerary! We returned to Osaka earlier than originally planned, allowing everyone to get some rest. 🥰
