We're from Taiwan, and our three-day, two-night volcano trip to Surabaya was absolutely fantastic! The two of us girls shared a private car and were incredibly lucky to have met our guide, Ijul (嘉信), and driver, Izzat. They were both incredibly professional. Ijul speaks excellent Chinese and was very considerate, accompanying us the entire way up and down the mountain and along the shore, even helping us carry our bags. Some sections of the trails at the waterfalls and Ijen Volcano were quite difficult, and he and the local guide would hold our hands, making us feel very safe. Driver Izzat drove very steadily and punctually. The car was clean and spacious, and we slept soundly in the back seat without feeling guilty during the long drive. They always had bottled water on hand, took lots of photos for us, took us to meals, and helped us exchange money—they paid great attention to detail. Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful memories!
