How do Java Island and Bali differ in cultural experiences, and which is more recommended?

Java Island and Bali offer distinctly different cultural experiences. Java is renowned for its magnificent Buddhist and Hindu temples (like Borobudur and Prambanan), the ancient royal culture of Yogyakarta, and traditional Javanese arts (batik, wayang kulit/shadow puppetry), showcasing deep historical roots and royal traditions, focusing more on exploring ancient civilizations and local life. Bali, on the other hand, attracts travelers with its unique Hindu beliefs, religious ceremonies, traditional dances, and artistic ambiance, leaning more towards a blend of spirituality and island resort experiences.
