Product Info

Where does the Sapporo Teine day trip go?

A day of snow play at Sapporo Teine, a ski resort in the mountains west of Sapporo, known for fine powder snow and winter scenery.

  • SnowLand: a snow play zone built for snow-play visitors, with sleds, snow tube runs and snowshoes
  • Views: on clear days, look out over Sapporo city and Ishikari Bay from the slopes, where the mountains face the sea
  • Getting there: meet at JR Sapporo Station and ride the coach to the resort and back, so you don't need to arrange your own transport; about 9 hours in total
  • Gear: snow wear, goggles and helmet included in every package
  • Help in Chinese: Chinese-language guidance and tour explanations, including how to use your ticket and where to meet for the return

What can you do at SnowLand in Sapporo Teine?

No ski experience is needed to enjoy Hokkaido's winter snow.

  • Sledding & snow tubing: feel the speed on the snow; the sled run is about 50 m long, and an escalator takes you back to the start so you don't have to walk uphill
  • Snowshoeing: put on snowshoes and walk across the snow
  • Snow games: build a snowman or have a snowball fight with family and friends
  • Good for: families with kids, groups of friends, and non-skiers traveling with skiers

Which Sapporo Teine package should I choose: snow play, snowboard lesson or ATV?

All three include the round-trip coach, SnowLand admission, snow wear, goggles and helmet.

  • SnowLand Snow Play: a day of sledding, snow tubing and snow games, for those who want to play in the snow without a lesson
  • SnowLand + snowboard lesson: a 60-minute basics class taught in Chinese by a professional instructor, for first-timers; snowboard gear included, ages 12–60
    • Gear: what each piece is and how to put it on and take it off
    • Basic skills: stepping, turning on the spot, falling safely, braking and more
    • All instructors hold valid work visas and SIA instructor certification
  • SnowLand + snowboard lesson + ATV: the same lesson plus a 15-minute ATV ride on snow, ages 12–60
    • About 2 min of instructions on the brake, throttle and basic controls, 3 min uphill, 8 min riding on a wide, flat forest clearing, 2 min back to the start
