The vehicle for this itinerary is assigned according to passenger numbers. If a small vehicle is assigned, the driver-guide handles the guiding.
If a small vehicle is assigned on the departure day, there is no need to take the shuttle bus up to Jiufen; this follows the driver-guide’s arrangement.
Because of holiday traffic controls in Jiufen, all visitors on weekends and public holidays must take a shuttle bus into Jiufen Old Street, a ride of about 10 minutes. Please follow the guide’s arrangements on site.
This activity is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
Roads around the Jiufen attractions are narrow and the old street is mostly stairs with some steep sections, so please assess your own physical condition before deciding to go. Recommended footwear: comfortable closed-toe shoes.
The Taipei Main Station departure and the Ximending departure do not use the same vehicle, so please take special note if you are travelling with others.
Please fill in traveler details accurately. If incorrect details invalidate the insurance, you bear the consequences.
The Taiwanese pastry items in this package depend on what is available on the day, and the Taiwanese pastry DIY workshop cannot accommodate special dietary requirements.
Large-vehicle traffic controls are in place around Shifen Old Street to keep pedestrians safe. Our vehicle parks at a local car park, and after getting off your guide leads you on a walk of about 7 to 10 minutes to the sky lantern shop for the blessing and release experience.
Because this itinerary involves long periods of walking and uphill climbing, it is not suitable for: older travelers with limited mobility; wheelchair or stroller users; people with high blood pressure; people with epilepsy; pregnant women; and people with disabilities.
