With proper timing, March 29th is not peak season. In the morning, there is Ginzan (sunny with occasional clouds), and in the afternoon, there is Zao (sunny, with some fog on the mountain, which gradually thickened later). There are not too many people, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

But with a large family, hiring a car really saved a lot of time! The driver was steady and very friendly! Even though we didn't speak the language, we could feel his enthusiasm.

Our guide, Tony, was very nice and shared interesting stories and local specialties about Japan! This trip was our first experience with snow! It was a pity that we couldn't see the Yeti in Zao because the weather was too warm, but the scenery there was still worth the trip!
