Samut Songkhram

I took a tour of the floating market and the Maeklong Railway Market for the first time. I was able to make a reservation the day before, and since I chose an early morning time, there was no traffic and we arrived smoothly. I didn't have high expectations, but the Railway Market was amazing when I actually saw the trains passing by. There weren't that many people, so it wasn't crowded. They were selling souvenirs and vegetables that locals use. I had the impression that floating markets were a place where you could get ripped off, but that wasn't the case on the tour. The scenery from the boat was wonderful, and although the waterways are said to be congested, they were also uncrowded and easy to see. We ate lunch on our own, but there were plenty of food options and it was delicious. The shop owners were very kind. At the end, we went to a place called Buffalo Cafe. It was a very nice place and we were able to relax. Our male guide was very kind and taught us many things. At the end, we were given sweets and cold towels, and since it was very hot, the ride in the cool bus was comfortable. I would like to take this tour again.

It's a floating market, but the river water isn't very sanitary, so be careful not to get wet. Boats sometimes splash up. Souvenirs are, as expected in a tourist area, a bit pricey. I drank a Leo beer on a boat, and it cost 150 baht. The Maeklong Railway Market is also a place where you pay to see the trains up close, so only buy what you really need. The trains pass by very slowly. But it was fun.

They were incredibly kind in every way! They gave me some famous Thai sweets and took me to restaurants! They were also very helpful in taking pictures for me (◠‿◠)

Itinerary: The itinerary included the Railway Market, Floating Market, and a coffee shop after the rain. The timing was perfect, and our guide, Wang Hancai, was very kind and attentive. He informed us of the pick-up time the night before and provided pre-trip information for each attraction. The coffee shop tour included a 70 baht allowance per person, with the difference to be paid separately. I'm so glad I bought this tour and found Mr. Wang leading the group!
