Absolutely a must-have for Osaka and Kyoto travel!! It's very easy to use. You can pre-book Universal Studios tickets and enter directly by scanning the code. A special feature is the one-time fast pass, with a choice of four options, including the popular Minions Deluxe B. We chose Universal Studios popcorn, which allows you to exchange for three servings! After scanning the code to get a box of popcorn, the staff will give you two more popcorn vouchers, valid until the end of the month. If you don't use all of it, you can leave it for other friends – no waste! Regarding transportation, we used it on our return trip to Kansai Airport at HARUKA. You can book dates directly on your phone and even specify seats – super convenient!! The Enjoy Pass allows you to choose three things; we chose Tsutenkaku Tower, the Dotonbori cruise, and Sora-niwa Onsen. The advantage is that you don't need much communication; just show your phone to the staff, and they'll understand and process it quickly. For the Dotonbori cruise, be sure to book your time slot at the Don Quijote ticket counter first. Evening is the best time, so it's recommended to book your time slot beforehand, then go shopping and sightseeing. Sora-niwa Onsen is highly recommended!! If you have enough time, it's a must-have! The building is lined with shops on both sides, so you could easily spend a whole day there shopping before going for a soak in the hot spring. There are also restaurants inside the Kyoutei Onsen, but the food is rather ordinary. Note: An additional fee applies on certain dates, and a 150 yen onsen tax is required for all dates!
Previously, when traveling from Osaka to Kyoto, my instinct was to take the train or JR. This time, with a 10-year-old child, the subway and train journeys alone were exhausting.
Trying a private car arrangement proved to be very advantageous:
Time-saving: Directly getting from our accommodation to our destination saved a significant amount of time.
Effortless: Luggage was handled, avoiding long walks and waiting times.
Worry-free: The itinerary was pre-arranged, ensuring we arrived on time without worrying about missing our trains; boarding and alighting times were flexible.
Cost-saving: Compared to day tour groups, our private car day trip was cheaper when split among the passengers.
On the day of the trip, Kyoto was hot. We didn't have to endure the heat at the station. When we arrived, we found it too hot outside, so we boarded the car early after visiting the sights. We quickly discussed it with the driver, and they quickly adjusted the itinerary to indoor activities, avoiding a forced outdoor activity in the sun. We finished shopping and returned to the hotel satisfied within the allotted time.
This experience was very satisfying.
Driver Chen was a friendly and polite person, and our conversation in the car was pleasant.
I used Kkday's Kansai Enjoy Pass to experience the Kyoto Railway Museum and Kōtei Onsen, and also redeemed Nana's Green Tea matcha ice cream, matcha milk tea, latte, and other treats – it was excellent value for money. The entire redemption process was simple and quick; just show the QR code to use it. It's very convenient, and I highly recommend buying it when traveling to Kansai!
There aren't many stores that accept this service, and some only offer free gifts. However, it's okay to take the free ones.
