The chances of seeing the aurora were really high! The tour guide was also very helpful, telling us where to find the aurora and how to adjust our phone's camera settings. All pick-up and drop-off services were on time, the itinerary was very relaxed, and we had a great time.
The tour guide was so thoughtful and made such great arrangements. Thankfully, we were able to rent coats to survive the harsh winter. The Citi Walk was even more amazing than I expected, giving us a deeper understanding of Yellowknife's culture and background. With a Taiwanese guide, my parents were also able to easily follow along. We were incredibly lucky to see a powerful aurora borealis that night. The first day was just average, the second was very faint, but the third was so strong that we could see the green light with the naked eye, paired with a vast starry sky – truly an unforgettable experience. While photos show the green light more clearly, they can't capture the awe of seeing it in person. If you have the time, definitely stay longer! The tour guides are excellent photographers; the photos look much better than what you get with a phone, creating wonderful memories.
I participated in this tour to see the aurora borealis, something I'd always wanted to see. Rental items (160cm, approximately 50kg): Thick jacket (recommended size M); Pants (just warm enough with leggings underneath) (recommended size M); Gloves and snow boots. Personally, I was glad I brought a scarf, a cap with ear flaps, and foot warmers. When we arrived at the airport, the guide called us by name, so we met up right away. We got in the car and were taken to the hotel, where our rental items were delivered. After parting ways with the guide, my friend tried on the rental items in our room, but they didn't fit, so we contacted the official LINE account. The next day, they brought a larger size to the campsite. On the first day, we couldn't see much from the campsite, so we headed further up the highway. There, we saw the aurora and the photographer took a few photos. (We were quite persistent, so we got home around 2:30 PM.) On the second day, we took the optional dog sledding during the day. Since we were able to see the aurora from our campsite at night, we spent the night there taking photos and then returned home just after 1:00 p.m. On the 3rd, we toured the city during the day (including the museum, an observation deck overlooking the entire city, and postcard making). The weather was cloudy at night, making for challenging conditions. They drove us around various locations, but we weren't able to see anything. At the campsite, we enjoyed tea and hot cocoa, maple cookies, and roasted marshmallows. There were also several playing cards and board games. On the day we left, they provided a transfer from the hotel to the airport. Overall: ◎The guides spoke Chinese, English, and Japanese, making it easy to participate. ◎They were so attentive and took us to various locations that their desire to show everyone the aurora was evident. ◎Photos were uploaded to the website immediately. ◎It was -22°C (December), but we were able to wait in a warm room. ◎You could take photos with your smartphone if you tried, but it got extremely cold, so be careful not to break it. →The photos are definitely better when they're taken by someone else.
Hotel: Usually 1:30-3 pm time shower may not be hot enough (maybe because too many people are after seeing the aurora, this time back to the hotel shower) tour arrangements: there is a dedicated airport transfer, city tour and to the camp to see the aurora / to chase the light Borrowed clothes will be left in the hotel on the first day, the 3rd night after seeing the aurora car left my ground flip hotel, let me ground room change and then take to the lobby to return to the guide The second and third nights were not so lucky, so the guide drove our land to camp, and after observing for a while, arranged to chase the light elsewhere. The guide also makes an effort to take pictures for each guest.
