The Wild Bison (“Dédé” / “Paskwâw mostos”) Highway Tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the majestic landscapes of the Northwest Territories while observing North America’s largest free roaming bison herds in their natural habitat. This tour takes you through the region west of Great Slave Lake, known as “Tucho” (big water), where these enormous creatures graze; the males can reach weights of over 900 kilograms. As one of North America's largest land mammals, the wood bison is a sight to behold, embodying the untamed spirit of the Canadian North.

Enjoy a scenic drive along Highway 3 heading south. A light picnic lunch will be provided along with a snack and a beverage.

The tour will take between 4-6 hours depending on where we see the bison first. We will drive in one direction for a maximum 3 hours. After the tour you will be dropped off at your chosen pick-up location.

A group of 4 will travel by SUV; a group of 6 or more will travel by luxury coach.
