Product Info

◆ The Yoshida Fire Festival, one of Japan's three unique festivals
○ A brave and fantastic festival that signals the end of summer and the closing of Mt. Fuji.
○ This is a fire-extinguishing ritual held to appease the volcanic eruptions of Mt. Fuji, and it is designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. It is said to be based on the story of Konohanasakuya-hime, the deity of the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, who gave birth safely amidst raging flames.
〇 ~Lighting of the Great Torches~ Over 70 great torches, each about 3 meters high, are lit simultaneously. The sight of the main street of the town turning into a 'sea of fire' for about 2km, painting the night sky red, is breathtaking.
* We will stay around the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine for about 3 hours. There will be stalls selling food and drinks in the town, so you can enjoy the summer festival atmosphere. (Scheduled to arrive around 17:00, torches will be lit around 18:30)
◆ Enjoy the king of grapes, 'Kyoho'!
〇 All-you-can-eat Kyoho grape picking in Yamanashi, the fruit kingdom! Enjoy fresh, freshly picked grapes.
* Depending on weather and growth conditions, it may be served on a plate or provided as a souvenir.
◆ The 5th Station of Mt. Fuji above the clouds! A scenic walk at an altitude of 2,305m!
〇 The 5th Station of Mt. Fuji is cool and refreshing with an average temperature of 15 degrees. It is also called the 'boundary between heaven and earth' and is located at the timberline. If the weather is good, you can see the scenery of Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. Enjoy visiting Komitake Shrine and shopping.
* If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed due to bad weather, we will visit the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center instead of the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji.
