Product Info

  • Visit Kamo City in Niigata Prefecture, known as the 'Little Kyoto of Hokuetsu.' Learn trivia about kimonos while being dressed, and enjoy free time after the fitting and photo session. For your free time, we recommend having lunch at Yama Cafe, located in the renowned Japanese restaurant Yamashige nearby. You can also stroll through Kamoyama Park, home to Aomi Shrine—where the mother of Uesugi Kenshin is said to have prayed for his safe birth—and a squirrel park (open from April to November). Additionally, you can see 500 carp streamers swimming over the Kamo River from April to early May, or witness salmon swimming upstream in the Kamo River during November. Our shop is located in a shopping street featuring 'gangi' (covered walkways), known as the 'Longevity Street.' It is a great place for a leisurely walk or to take photos against the backdrop of Kamo's historic buildings. 〜Experience Flow〜 10:25 Meeting and Reception (Start time is an example) We will confirm your name, number of guests, etc. 10:30 Kimono Fitting, Hair & Makeup, and Photo Session Choose your kimono and we will coordinate accessories and dress you. • Enjoy Japanese Culture in the 'Little Kyoto of Hokuetsu,' Kamo
  • Kamo is called the 'Little Kyoto of Hokuetsu' because it was settled by refugees of the Heike clan who moved to this area, which reminded them of Kyoto. Aomi Shrine, founded in 726, is a historic shrine believed to bring blessings for love, child-rearing, financial luck, fulfillment of wishes, and family safety. The main hall features magnificent carvings and 'nightingale floors' that are well worth seeing. Within the same grounds, there are many sights to see, including a sacred pond, Kamoyama Park, Kamoyama Squirrel Park, the Yuki-Tsubaki (Snow Camellia) Garden, the Forest of Sculptures, and the Kamo History Museum. Furthermore, the Kamo River, where 500 carp streamers swim from April to early May (during Golden Week), is a rare place where you can actually touch the streamers.
  • Includes Photo Session and Photo Data
  • We will take snapshot photos to commemorate your trip.
