Regarding cancellation of the event:

• Please note that the tour may be canceled due to weather conditions on the day. If the tour is canceled after arriving at the meeting point, we will not be able to compensate for travel expenses or other expenses.

• Please note that as these are wild animals in their natural habitat, no refunds will be given if you are unable to see them.

Other important points to note:

• ★ Voluntary rules for whale swimming *Please read carefully. Amami Whale and Dolphin Association Voluntary Whale Swimming Rules (revised January 1, 2021) (1) The captain will decide whether swimming is possible based on sea conditions and the condition of the target whales. (2) Swims must be conducted so as not to interfere with the course or natural behavior of the target whales. (3) In principle, the number of swims to the same group is limited to six, with a maximum of six participants per swim. (4) In the case of multiple boats, the captains will coordinate and decide the number of swims and participants based on safety and the condition of the target whales. A maximum of two boats may swim to the same group at the same time. (5) Swimming must be done by snorkeling on the surface; scuba diving is prohibited. (6) Freediving is also prohibited when swimming to the mother and calf group. (7) Eligibility to participate in the swim is limited to those who hold a diving C-card license or higher, free diver license or equivalent, and advanced divers approved by the captain. (8) In the case of the same target whale, priority will be given to watching vessels affiliated with the association. (9) Other maneuvering rules, etc. will follow the association's watching rules.
