「Chia Nan Golf」
Chia Nan Golf is located in Guantian District, Tainan City, just 5.9 km from Wushantou Reservoir. It features beautiful scenery and an elegant, pleasant environment. Designed and constructed by the renowned American design firm Willard C. Byrd & Associates, the course covers approximately 75 hectares. Planned according to the original terrain, it is a standard 72-par, 6,825-yard, 18-hole course that officially opened on March 5, 1995. The most distinctive hole is the 14th, a 3-tier green that is higher on the right and lower on the left, waiting for you to challenge it. Additionally, the 15th hole is a long par-5, featuring a five-claw-shaped bunker about 100 yards long in the middle of the fairway. Its exquisite design is highly challenging and is sure to amaze golfers.
「Tainan Golf Club」
The Tainan Xinhua course was planned and developed during the martial law period. In 1967, former legislator Ms. Liang Hsu Chun-chu, foreseeing that golf would become a popular sport that could cultivate noble character, collaborated with local social elites to initiate the project. With the assistance of General Ho Ying-chin and other relevant figures, the land at the foot of Hutoupi was secured for the course. The first nine holes were completed in March 1971, and the back nine were completed in 1978, forming an 18-hole course. It wasn't until 1998 that the back nine were renovated and reopened, sparking a new wave of golf enthusiasm in the south.
「Deep Water Culture Park (Filming location for 'U Motherbaker')」
Built in 1904, the century-old Shanhua Sugar Refinery has been transformed into the 'Deep Water Culture Park' by renovating the long-vacant red-brick dormitory complex. The Japanese-style architecture is aesthetically pleasing. The park features the Shanhua Sugar Museum, a waterfront park, century-old camphor trees, an ice cream shop, and the Deep Water Culture Park, among other attractions. It also displays a 1948 Taiwan Sugar steam train. Behind the park, you can see the Taiwan Sugar chimney, which emits the rich aroma of sugarcane being pressed for sugar production.
