Taejongdae, a traditional Korean live fish specialty restaurant, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! We take fish directly from our large tanks and prepare them on the spot, serving them in the authentic Korean sashimi style. Our No. 1 most popular dish is the fresh 'Sannakji' (live octopus)! Our 'Ganjang Gejang,' featuring a whole blue crab marinated in savory soy sauce, is highly acclaimed for its incredible taste. We also offer a wide variety of other dishes, including pancakes (pajeon) and meat dishes. Open until 3:00 AM! Closing times may vary.
"Sannatchi" is a very popular dish, made by eating live, live octopus that has just been taken out of the tank! It is cooked while still alive and is served while still moving. The suction cups sometimes even stick to your mouth, making the texture and flavor a true delicacy! It is a dish that we highly recommend you try at least once. We offer two types of sauce: fragrant sesame oil and vinegar gochujang. Quantities are limited, so order early!
The world-famous BTS members love Mulhoe! Not many stores carry it. However, because we are a sashimi specialty store, we have a sweet and spicy soup with fresh sashimi and lots of vegetables on top. A refreshing dish perfect for summer. Please give it a try!
Our main store has started late-night business! The temperature is comfortable and the days are getting longer. Daejeondae is open until 3am! *Closing time varies depending on the day. Even if you miss the last train, you can enjoy your drink at your leisure. Get drunk with a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, including Korean soju, Korean beer, and original makgeolli. Of course, drinking during the day is also good!
The interior of the restaurant, which was renovated in 2014, is a clean and calm space. You can see Okubo-dori from the large glass windows, and the uniform color scheme creates a stylish atmosphere. We are proud of our comfortable atmosphere, with table and sofa seating, so anyone can drop in casually. Please relax and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Dining time is limited. If you're late and therefore shorten the dining time, the dining time cannot be extended.

When the restaurant is busy or if you have another reservation, your stay time will be limited to 2 hours for the course menu and 90 minutes for the a la carte menu.
