Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Village
Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Village, a World Heritage Site, has 114 thatched-roof Gassho zukuri houses standing in rows between rice paddies, and its simple and beautiful appearance is called “the original landscape of Japan” and attracts people from all over the world.
Visitors can enjoy strolling around the area while being healed by the beautiful scenery of all seasons.
Make your own food samples
In Gujo, known as the birthplace of food samples, visitors can easily make food samples with the careful assistance of staff in Japan's first and world's first food sample making experience.
Retro Art Museum
Retro Art Museum, where you can enjoy a variety of nostalgic retro items, is the only tourist facility in Japan that combines retro and food sample art, which can only be expressed at Sampler Kobo under the theme of “nostalgia”. It is located in Gujo Hachiman, a place with a rich history and culture, where visitors can experience things and events from the mid-Showa to the Heisei period and feel a sense of nostalgia.
Feel local life in old streets of Gujo Hachiman
Gujo Hachiman is called the castle town of clear streams and famous water, and its quaint old streets still remain.
Among them, Shokuninmachi, Kajiyamachi, and Yanagimachi have been designated as national Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and the scenery of the castle town in the early Edo period can be seen as it was in those days.
Gujo Hachiman Castle, known as “Gifu's castle in the sky,” and the Yoshida River, which flows from east to west through the center of Gujo Hachiman and is filled with clear water, are just a few of the many highlights of the area!

  • For cancellations made 0 to 0 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
