- Attraction Introduction -

【Chimei Museum】Located in Rende District, Tainan City, Taiwan, this museum was founded by Shi Wen-long, the founder of Chimei Corporation. It is currently the private museum and art gallery with the richest collection in Taiwan. It primarily houses 13,000 Western artworks, with main exhibits spanning four major fields: art, musical instruments, weaponry, and natural history. The venue is managed and operated by the Chimei Museum Foundation.

【Ten Drum Culture Village】The Rende Sugar Refinery is a modern mechanized sugar factory and facility complex located in Tiancuo, Rende District, Tainan City, Taiwan. Its predecessor was the Cheluqian Sugar Factory of the Taiwan Sugar Corporation, founded in 1909 and operational in 1910. In September 2004, the site was taken over by the Tainan District Office, and the Ten Drum Percussion Group leased some of the unused warehouse spaces to establish the 'Ten Drum Rende Creative Park,' which is open to the public as an international art village.

【Anping Old Fort】In the early 17th century, the Dutch, with a combined military and commercial force, occupied present-day Anping in 1624 and built Fort Zeelandia as their defensive stronghold, with all construction completed in 1634. Currently, the only remaining ruins from the Dutch era are the brick walls of the outer southern rampart in front of the fort. The gnarled roots of old banyan trees bear witness to the history of the Taijiang area over the past 400 years.

【Hayashi Department Store】Although Hayashi Department Store, which focuses on cultural and creative goods, is not large, many of the items displayed and sold there are limited-edition products exclusive to Tainan's Hayashi Department Store. Besides browsing the creative goods, there are a few highlights you must not miss. Ride the elevator: The floor indicator is a rotating dial, which is likely only found at Hayashi Department Store, preserving an authentic vintage feel. Visit the Torii Shrine on the rooftop: The Torii Shrine on the rooftop of the department store is the only one of its kind in Taiwan and is a must-visit.
