[CATCH the STAR - Hoshitori]

≪Air Station Tottori City Saji Astro Park≫

Please enjoy astronomical observation using the 103cm large telescope, which boasts the largest size in Japan, and stargazing with a starry sky guide in the garden (on the premises). Especially on nights when there is no moonlight, you can enjoy a starry sky that cannot be seen in the city!

In case of rain, the show will be viewed at the planetarium.
You may not be able to see the starry sky due to weather conditions.
The Milky Way can be seen from every city, town, and village in Tottori Prefecture and shooting stars can be seen even when it's not the time for meteor showers. Decided to call it "Hoshitori Prefecture" with the hope that everyone can enjoy Tottori Prefecture more.
Tottori City is the only prefectural capital that has ranked first in the "National Starry Sky Continuous Observation" conducted by the Ministry of the Environment.
In addition, it has been ranked number one in Japan several times at fixed observation sites and other observation sites.

The Tottori Sand Dunes are the largest dunes in Japan that can be visited for sightseeing!! The area is 2.4 km north to south and 16 km east to west. It is a vast gravel area on the coast of the Sea of Japan in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture.

The much-talked-about art museum "Sand Museum" is included in the ticket price!!

Born in a corner of the Tottori Sand Dunes, this is the only art museum in the world that exhibits sand sculptures "sand sculptures" created using only the sand and water of the Tottori Sand Dunes.

Under the basic concept of "traveling around the world with sand", the theme is changed every year.
This year, we will introduce you to the 14th term "Travel around the world in the sand: Egypt"!!

The number of people in the exhibition room at the same time is limited to 80 people at the same time, so you may have to wait before entering.

[The White Rabbit of Inaba]

Hakuto Shrine is known as the Great Rabbit Daimyojin or the Rabbit Miya Hakuto Daimyojin and is a shrine with a clear history that is mentioned in the Kojiki and Nihonshoki.
Based on a myth, it has been worshiped as a shrine that cures skin diseases and burns.

A white rabbit is said to be the god of marriage between Okuninushi and Yakamihime, who appear in mythology.

Recently, in 2010, it was certified as a "Lover's Sanctuary" as the birthplace of Japan's first love story, "White Rabbit".
