• Plum Blossom Viewing at Fengguidou
  Xinyi Township is the Furusato of plum blossoms and the largest green plum production area in Taiwan. From late winter to the Qingming Festival when the plums ripen, viewing and picking plums become the most poetic activities in this plum village. Fengguidou, Niuchaokeng, and Wusonglun are famous spots for plum blossom viewing. Visiting the plum orchards allows you to enjoy the sea of flowers that bloom successively depending on the altitude, and the view of the snow-capped Yushan Mountain in the distance is infinitely beautiful. The plum trees at Fengguidou are characterized by their rough, dark bark and twisted branches, possessing a vigorous and elegant posture. Most of the plum trees are about 30 years old, including the 'Old Plum King' near Ziqiang Elementary School, which is 70 years old, standing strong and full of vitality.
  

• Qiansui Suspension Bridge
  The Qiansui Suspension Bridge has a long history and is about 500 meters long in total, but the bridge deck is only about 1 meter wide. Walking on the bridge, it sways in all directions. Unless you are a local accustomed to it, the updrafts blowing up from the river valley might make your legs weak. However, it is said that the locals can ride their scooters across the bridge in one go!
  

• Plum Dream Factory
  This was formerly a food processing plant for the Xinyi Township Farmers' Association in Nantou. After the government allowed private brewing, it transformed into a plum winery, becoming the first farmers' association winery in Taiwan to obtain a brewing license. After the 921 Earthquake, it underwent a transformation. The Xinyi Township Farmers' Association spent three years and nearly 100 million NTD to gradually build the current Plum Dream Factory park. Later, taking inspiration from the Japanese 'Michi-no-Eki' (roadside rest stations), it was converted into a facility that offers shopping, dining, and rest services, as well as cultural and travel information, agricultural experiences, and industrial tours. It was completed and opened on December 21, 2008, becoming a leisure park.
  

• Dongpu Old Street Hot Springs
  Dongpu Hot Springs is located by the Chenyoulan River in Xinyi Township, Nantou County, at an altitude of about 1,200 meters, serving as a stopover point on the way to Yushan. Dongpu Hot Springs is a weak alkaline carbonate spring with a pH value between 7.5 and 8.5 and a temperature of about 48 degrees Celsius. It does not need to be diluted with mountain spring water and is a rare 'original' hot spring. Dongpu Hot Springs was discovered long ago, and hot spring baths were built during the Japanese colonial period. Behind the hot spring area, there are attractions such as Rainbow Waterfall and Lover's Valley. It is also located on the essential path of the Batongguan Historic Trail to Yushan, making it a popular hot spring accommodation and sightseeing area.
