This trip to Europe used Orange Travel's universal European eSIM, and the overall experience was quite good. Regarding network connectivity, in cities like Budapest, Vienna, and Slovakia, the speed was stable, and there were no noticeable problems with daily use of Google Maps, information retrieval, messaging apps, and web browsing. In suburban or mountainous areas, signal performance was affected by local base stations and terrain; while still acceptable overall, it wasn't as stable as in urban areas. Orange Travel's official European plan also provides 4G connectivity through local partner networks. The calling function is a very practical advantage of this eSIM. It's not just a simple travel eSIM with internet access; it provides an actual phone number, allowing for regular calls and SMS communication in addition to mobile data. This is more convenient than a simple Data Only eSIM for contacting hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, or other local services while traveling. Orange Travel's current European Data + Calls + SMS plan also provides calling and SMS functionality. The only significant drawback is the lack of flexibility in using dual eSIMs on a mobile phone. In actual use, if you keep other eSIMs on, especially if your original Taiwan number also needs to be kept on standby, the setup becomes quite complicated. To avoid interference between the two eSIMs in terms of mobile data, calls, or roaming settings, I ultimately disabled the other eSIMs temporarily, only enabling the Orange eSIM. Therefore, if your need is to "use one eSIM directly in Europe, traveling across countries while still needing internet, calls, and SMS," Orange Travel is a very convenient option. Conversely, if you prioritize keeping your Taiwan number on standby at all times and using multiple eSIMs simultaneously, you need to confirm your phone model and dual-SIM settings beforehand; this is something to consider before choosing Orange Travel. Overall evaluation: Stable connection in urban areas, acceptable performance in suburban areas; provides actual phone numbers and call functionality, quite practical for European travel. The biggest drawback is not network quality, but the convenience of managing other eSIMs simultaneously.
