This tour allowed us to efficiently visit the sights of Taichung. I had booked a Japanese-language tour, but the day before, I was informed that it was not full and would be a Chinese-language tour. On the day of the tour, the guide used a translation device to explain things, and there were no problems at all. The difference in price was refunded promptly, and overall the service was excellent. The meeting place at Taichung High-Speed Rail Station is on the same floor as the ticket gates. Follow the signs for Exit 7, take the escalator down, exit through the right exit, and turn left where you will find a sign for Meeting Point (會面點) 4. There are benches, so you can sit and wait. Rainbow Village is a great place to take colorful and beautiful photos. There are restrooms, but they sometimes run out of toilet paper, so it might be a good idea to bring your own. The ice cream at Miyahara Ophthalmology has a long line, but the staff are efficient, so if you line up early, you can get it within the time limit. If the wait seems long, it might be better to go to the second branch, which is about a 3-minute walk away. They serve the same menu, and there is almost no wait. The souvenir sweets come in a wide variety, and the packaging is cute, making them worth seeing. The prices are a little on the higher side, but I think it makes a nice souvenir. After that, the journey to Gaomei Wetlands took a little less than an hour. It's about a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point to the spot where you can see the sunset, so I recommend using the restroom in the parking lot when you arrive. Sneakers are fine on the pier, but if you're going down to the wetlands from the end of the pier, you might want to wear flip-flops or something similar. After that, we were dropped off near the center of Fengjia Night Market, and the tour was over. It was about a 4-hour tour, but it was really fulfilling and the price was reasonable, so I especially recommend it to people visiting Taichung for the first time. Thank you very much to the tour guide and driver for your help.
I'm from PH and it was my first time using KKday. It was a smooth transaction and user friendly app.
Our guide and driver, Mr. Wang, was punctual, accommodating, and approachable. He's got a clean car and nice taste in music. He's friendly and a great photographer, too. Superb!
It was a memorable trip in Taichung with my family.
