Strawberries were in season and very sweet; it was fun picking and eating them as we went. The boatmen on the Yanagawa River sang songs, and the riverside scenery was decent, but the weather was great. The eel rice was delicious. Finally, we had two hours to shop at the outlet mall.
Inari Shrine is a very worthwhile attraction to visit. Although the tour guide has already given us two hours, if we go to the top of the shrine and add the time for lunch, we can probably extend the time a bit more. Every place on this itinerary is worth savoring.
I didn't have high expectations for the distillery on this trip, but it turned out to be my favorite part. The distillery's sake was not only delicious but also offered unlimited tastings. The staff were very patient and confident in their homemade sake. Even though I don't usually drink, I couldn't resist buying several bottles and some rice wine. The tour leader was very enthusiastic in introducing the sights, and for lunch, we had a famous set meal of various hot spring tofu dishes. Although this trip was a bit off the beaten path, the overall experience was very comfortable because there were few people. I might want to try this trip next time!
