Driver Mr. Jiang was very friendly and polite, and very patient with the children! Changing routes was no problem at all; he was very helpful in arranging the route and time. Thank you so much for your service!
A day trip to Miyazaki, Kyushu is absolutely worth it! Take the Takachiho Sky Train through the canyons for breathtaking scenery; experience the ancient and tranquil Takachiho Shrine, brimming with mythological atmosphere; witness the spectacular waterfalls and cliffs of Takachiho Gorge, and enjoy a truly therapeutic stroll. Explore the vast grasslands of Mount Aso, with its awe-inspiring views of the volcano. The itinerary is smooth, packed with attractions, combining cultural and natural elements, with a caring guide, great photo opportunities, and a comfortable and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!
We spent 45 minutes at Kamishiro Kumano Shrine, quickly took photos at the top, and then rushed to Kusasenri. We had a little over an hour there, including lunch, before heading to Aso Shrine. Finally, we spent 1.5 hours at Kurokawa Onsen. It was all very rushed, and we didn't have time to properly appreciate the beautiful scenery. The tour guide and driver were both very kind. The guide patiently explained the environment and history to us, and gave us suggestions for sightseeing and dining in Kumamoto. We were very grateful. The driver greeted us every time we got on and off the bus; although I don't understand Japanese, his attitude was truly wonderful. I recommend allocating a full day trip to Kurokawa Onsen to fully appreciate its beauty and soak in the hot springs, rather than just rushing through it.
KKday's itinerary this time was excellent value, including attractions like Takachiho Gorge and Kusasenri. Since the Aso train was closed that day, we opted to visit the Kamishiromi Kumamoto Shrine instead. Our guide, Kong Yan, was very professional and patiently answered and addressed our needs. The food she recommended was also delicious! The driver was very smooth. Overall, a highly recommended trip!
It's quite far, and the drive is long. This was my second time going. Last time I went in the summer, and it was lush and green, quite beautiful. This time I went with my family, and I was surprised to see Mount Aso, but it was very far away, and the grass on the mountain hadn't grown yet; it was bare and a yellowish-brown color, which was different from what I had imagined. But that's how the natural environment is, and it's so far away that we had to delay our meal. We ate almost one meal and then prepared to head back. We were short on time, and with elderly people with us, we couldn't go very far. Traveling with elderly people requires careful consideration.
Although the journey was long, the comfortable bus and the excellent commentary from our guide, Zhuo Yanzhi, were fantastic. We also bought tickets that included the Aso Boy sightseeing train, and the seats were superb! The views were unobstructed! I'll definitely buy KKDay tickets again next time I have the chance.
I joined two different tour groups for two consecutive days, and the service from Xiao Tan and Xiao Shi was excellent. If you don't want to spend time scrambling for train tickets and planning your itinerary, I highly recommend this tour. The schedule is tight, but the stops are all at the best spots. Be prepared for long drive times. The Aso volcano crater is currently closed to the public.
